A bone marrow and blood drive is being held on December 18 at the Roy W. Brown Middle School at 130 South Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, for Officer Jimmy Colon, an 11 year veteran of the Englewood Cliffs Police Department, who has been striken with leukemia. Officer Colon is currently receiving blood transfusions and is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. The Colon family must now search for a compatible donor who could save Jim's life.

The Colon family

Please help, either by coming to the Bone Marrow and Blood Drive on December 18, or by donating to the Officer Jimmy Colon Fund! Please see more information here.

 

Members of the Crime Prevention Bureau offer a Free Security Survey of your residence. Included in the surveys are recommendations on the securing and lighting of your home and the selection and/or the upgrading of various types of alarm systems.

To schedule a security survey contact, either Chief Lawrence R. Whiting or Lt. Thomas Bauernschmidt, by calling 201-569-8300 for an appointment.

In continuance with our Crime Prevention Awareness Programs the Police Department will issue you residential vehicle decals, to only those vehicles registered to your Englewood Cliffs residence.
The decals are available at the Police Desk.
You must produce a valid registration for each vehicle
to the Desk Officer.

The decals are to be affixed on the drivers side rear window.
This will enable the patrol division to know
that your vehicle belongs in the area.

Please illuminate your home adequately and utilize
timers on both interior and exterior to create the desired "Lived In Look"
